What is CBD?
CBD is short for Cannabidiol, which is a cannabinoid or chemical compound found in the hemp plant. Here at Verde River Naturals we use CBD in our products, which can help with inflammation, as well as create a feeling of relaxation and calmness.
Will CBD Get me High?
No! Unlike another popular cannabinoid, THC which is derived from marijuana. CBD does not have any psychoactive effects and will not get you “high.” It is crucial to buy third-party tested CBD products, like ours at Verde River Naturals to ensure the THC levels are below the legal limit of .3%. All of Verde River Naturals’ products have a certificate of analysis which can be found on our website and by scanning the QR code on our products.
What is the difference between hempseed oil and CBD/hemp oil extract?
Hempseed oil has been in grocery stores for a long time to add to your salad dressings or smoothies. Hemp seed oil is most commonly extracted through a cold pressing process and does not contain any cannabinoids or CBD. We use hempseed oil in our tinctures and softgels combined with CBD because hempseed oil is packed with healthy fats.
CBD is often referred to as hemp oil extract. It is extracted from the hemp plant that is grown specifically for CBD extraction. Once it is processed on the farm, our hemp plants are processed with a CO2 extraction machine to create a honey like extract which contains high amounts of CBD and other cannabinoids and terpenes.
What is the best way to take CBD?
Depending on what your desired effect, CBD can be used in many different ways. We offer ingestibles like our Softgels or Drops, as well as a number of different topicals, like our Re-Leaf Salve or Ageless Face Serum.
Some people do not want to ingest anything and prefer a topical CBD salve or bath bomb. You can apply the salves to muscles and joints and get a nice, localized release.
If you are interested in ingestibles, it really depends on your preference. Our Drops are great for adding to a smoothie, giving your pet, putting in your coffee or taking directly under your tongue. Softgels are nice if you want an easy way to take the same dosage of CBD daily, without the earthy taste of CBD.
Can you travel with CBD or mail it?
If the CBD products comply with the 2018 Farm Bill, which means they contain less than .3% THC, like ours at Verde River Naturals, then you can legally go on a plane with it or mail to friends and/or family.
Will CBD show up on a drug test?
While it is extremely unlikely that consuming CBD will cause one to fail a drug test, it is not exactly unheard of. When a company performs a drug test, they are specifically looking for the presence of THC in your system, not CBD. Verde River Naturals’ CBD is a full spectrum hemp oil extract, containing the legal limit of less than .3% THc. Depending on your personal dosage, it is possible for our products to show up on a drug test.
Verde River Naturals’ CBD products contain full spectrum CBD oil or full spectrum hemp oil extract- what does this mean
Not all CBD is considered equal is an important thing to remember. Here at Verde River Naturals we use an extremely high quality CO2 extracted full spectrum CBD oil. Full spectrum hemp oil extract or CBD oil is the pure oil extracted from hemp and contains all the same cannabinoids and compounds found in the original hemp plant. Full spectrum hemp oil extract or CBD oil contains an array of cannabinoids, as well as many essential vitamins, minerals, fatty acids, proteins, flavonoids, and terpenes. All of these cannabinoids and other essential compounds found in full spectrum CBD oil create an “entourage” effect. The entourage effect is when all compounds are working together in harmony to magnify their therapeutic properties. This being said, full spectrum oil is a more effective and efficient form of CBD, and will lead to better results than other types of CBD oil.
What are other types of CBD oil besides full spectrum?
CBD isolate is another form of CBD. We do not use CBD isolate at Verde River Naturals, but you will see it widely in the marketplace. CBD isolate is a single cannabinoid which has been isolated from the rest. Usually a white powder, CBD isolate contains no other cannabinoids, terpenes or other beneficial compounds. Studies have shown that 10 times the amount of CBD isolate must be consumed orally to equal the effects of full spectrum CBD oil. Studies have also shown that CBD isolate when applied topically, has little to no effect through the skin.
The Aerosol Advantage
Higher Active Bioavailability
Aerosols are defined as a system of colloidal particles sealed in a metal container under pressure, dispersed as a gas or vapor using a pharmaceutical grade FDA approved propellant.
Verde River Naturals’ pressurized, Metered-dose Inhaler (pMDI), Sublingual Nano-mist and Topical Aerosols are devices that deliver a precise dose of proprietary hemp-derived broad spectrum CBD formulation directly into the lungs, under the tongue or on the surface of the skin.
Verde River Naturals’ pMDI incorporates an aluminum canister, dispensing valve and actuator allowing proprietary Hemp oils to be administered at a precise dose once activated
Aerosol Delivery Benefits:
- Accurate dosing
- Optimum Active Bioavailability
- Quicker effective release
- Greater absorption levels
- Discrete usage
- Lower cost per use
What is the Endocannabinoid system?
Every single person has an Endocannabinoid System (ECS), whether they’ve consumed cannabis before in their lives or not. The ECS consists of naturally-occurring endocannabinoids (such as anandamide) and their corresponding receptors (such as CB-1 and CB-2 receptors). While research into this system is still young, doctors have found these natural cannabinoid compounds and their receptors to exist in virtually every cell and organ system in the human body, and have discovered they play a key regulatory role in whole-body health and homeostasis. Among other things, the ECS has been shown to help regulate our sleep cycles, our immune response systems, and even our emotional response to social stimuli.
When there is a deficiency in this natural ECS network, any one of the above-mentioned systems may be thrown out of balance, which can result in an array of issues and challenges. Plant-based cannabinoids (such as CBD) are a 100% natural way to assist with these chemical deficiencies (without a THC-induced high), thus restoring the system back to a state of harmony and homeostasis.
What is the main advantage of an aerosol delivery method vs. other oils or tinctures on the market?
When a chemical comes in contact with the mucous membrane beneath the tongue or other soft tissues in the mouth, it diffuses through it. Because the connective tissue beneath the epithelium contains a profusion of capillaries, the substance then diffuses into them and enters the venous circulation quickly. In contrast, oil/tincture substances taken orally that are absorbed in the intestines are subject to “first-pass metabolism” in the liver before entering the general circulation.
Sublingual and respiratory administration has certain advantages over typical oral administration. Being more direct, it is often faster and it ensures that the substance will risk degradation only by salivary enzymes before entering the bloodstream, whereas orally administered drugs must survive passage through the hostile environment of the gastrointestinal tract losing some of their bio-availability. https://vimeo.com/365607839
